Jason Bennett, DVM

Dr. Bennett's trail to veterinary medicine began with a trip to the Serengeti as a child. The path took him from college in Maine to veterinary school at Ross University. He completed an internship at Wildlife Safari in Oregon before taking a position at Lion Country Safari in West Palm Beach, Florida. Despite loving his job working on lions, giraffes, rhinos, antelopes, and primates just to name a few species he was able to help, life took him into private practice.
After 9 years working and living in Florida, Dr. Bennett moved to the Ventura area to be closer to consistent surf and mountains. He took over Mission Animal hospital in August of 2019 in order to provide Ventura with quality veterinary medicine without sacrificing the feel of a small town intimate clinic.
When he is not running the clinic you can find him at any of the beautiful point breaks in Ventura county, attempting to blow glass, or at home with his wife, two dogs and his cat.
